ZAYED SHARK ATTACK
Zayed Khan has Bollywood in his blood – Hrithik Roshan is his brother-in-law, Feroz Khan his father and Fardeen Khan his cousin. The Yuvraaj actor hopes for the best for all of them. "I always want the best for my family and well-wishers. That's the honest truth and I don't let negative things cloud my mind," he explains.
Yuvraaj saw Zayed lip-locking for the first time on screen – something that left him feeling very embarrassed when watching the movie with his wife. "Firstly, I've never done intimate scenes like these on screen. I'm a family man with a wife and a son. And to watch the scenes with my parents at the premiere gave me the shivers. What would they think? On top of it all, it was our marriage anniversary. What a gift for my wife," he says. The film also stars Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anil Kapoor.
Zayed was also the special guest on Kaante Ki Takkar this Saturday. He seemed to be captivated by pretty host Purbi Joshi – but then who isn't? He was also impressed on the show by comedian Shakeel Siddique and hugged him at the end of his performance.

Writer Rensil D’Silva has adapted the film for an Indian audience. The prison set is currently being built by art director Samir Chanda in Hyderabad. ‘Hook Ya Crook’ is supposed to be an authentic cricket film with a big cricket match as the climax. Dhoni is playing a leading role in the film.
A source reveals, “UTV, who had earlier made Goal, a football-based film, want Hook Ya Crook to be an authentic cricket film. The climax will be a huge cricket match like Ashutosh Gowariker’s Lagaan. Indian cricket captain Dhoni is being brought on board to share the field and cinema space with the rest of the cast and also to help his teammates give a believable spin to the game.”
David Dhawan, the director of the film stated, “Cricket does play a very important part in my film. This would be my most uncharacteristic film, very different from the comedies I am associated with. John Abraham and Uday Chopra will come together again after Dhoom. Aditya Pancholi has an amazing role. The audience will love him.”

Now the case has taken an interesting turn with the Film Writers’ Association (FWA) going back on its earlier decision and claiming that it has found the first half of Om Shanti Om very similar to Monga’s script.
India’s Maths genius Shakuntala Devi has accused Aamir Khan of stealing her idea for his directorial debut film, Taare Zameen Par. Shakuntala has accused Aamir of borrowing ideas from her book. She now plans to produce her own film based on the story from which some of the things shown in Taare Zameen Par have been taken.
Although the case is still pending in the court, this development could be crucial in deciding the ultimate result of the case. Now it has to be seen how the two bollywood superstars are out from these cases.

A close source reveals, “Nikhil Advani has gone all out in making sure that Chandni Chowk to China lives up to the huge expectations that people have from this Akshay Kumar. The film takes inspiration from Akshay Kumar’s real life journey from being a chef to a superstar. The expectations are very high and people have to be presented with a truly grand affair that justifies the claims that have been made.”
He further added, “A fortune has been spent on the special effects to make the film look world class. You have a look at the theatrical promo and you would get an idea for yourself that how spectacular the setting of the film has been. It is not only an action comedy but has a deeper storyline to it. There are some Chinese legends that have been unearthed in the film.”
Deepika Padukone is playing a lead role in the film. It has been saying that Chandni Chowk to China will change the fortunes of Bollywood as it will be released in the beginning of the year 2009.

Kangana Ranaut says, “I will not participate in any of the promotional activities of Raaz 2. I’m terribly hurt that my personal matters are being used to create hype around the film.”
The personal matter she is talking about is her relationship with her Raaz2 co-actor Adhyayan Suman.
Kangana Ranaut further added, “Adhyayan and I both respect our relationship too much to do anything on the sets. Adhyayan is troubled ever since there has been a news break around him being allegedly locked up with me in ‘Raaz - The Mystery Continues’. Moreover, I am a professional. The film Raaz2 is a suspense thriller but and it will be directed by Mohit Suri in place of Vikram Bhatt. “Raaz: The Mystery Continues”, is scheduled to release Jan 23 next year and stars Emraan Hashmi, Adhyayan Suman and Kangana Ranaut. Bipasha Basu who was adamant not to go to Kashmir for the shooting of Lamhaa has changed her mind after hearing the rumors that if she did not go for the shooting she might be replaced by Vidya Balan.
Director Bunty Walia confirms and says, “Yes we are going to Kashmir in January 2009. Bipasha got scared in Kashmir as the crowd gathered there became uncontrollable. They were overwhelmed to see stars like her and Sanjay Dutt shooting in their midst. That’s the reason Bipasha left from Kashmir without even informing us. But now that we have got assurance from Kashmir DGP Kuldeep Khuda about the cast and crew’s safety, Bipasha has relented. We will be shooting in Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir. Right now, we are shooting for the film in Film City, where we have created a beautiful set of Kashmir, which is worth crores or rupees.”
Bipasha will start shooting for the movie in 2009 where she plays a Kashmiri girl.

Deepika Padukone is looking all Chinki in her upcoming flick Chandni Chowk to China which also starrs Akshay Kumar. According to rumors the leggy lass is playing a double role in the movie and she confirms the news and says it’s not a publicity gimmick.
She says, “It’s actually a double role and no publicity gimmick. I play two different characters in Chandni Chowk To China , one is an Indian called Sukhi, and the other is a Chinese girl, Meow Meow. The Chinese character is a pro at martial arts for which I had to undergo four months of rigorous training before the film started.”
There were rumors that Deepika had used tapes to make her wide eyes look like Chinese eyes, however Deepika says, “We had thought of that initially but it wasn’t a good idea to use tapes, they’re bad for the skin. My makeup artist came up with a simpler solution and used the eyeliner in such a way that it gave my eyes the Chinese tweak.”

Beyond that I haven't really opened my account book, I'm happy doing films I'm completely convinced about. I'd love to work with Anurag Kashyap again (after 'No Smoking'). I can talk to him for hours. Like me he's happy doing his own thing. I'm an off-roader while other actors are on the highway."

Directed by dormant filmmaker Aditya Chopra, the film is Shah Rukh Khan's first release of the year and the first Shah Rukh-Aditya Chopra collaboration in over eight years after post "Mohabbatein" (2000).
The film has broken all earlier opening weekend collection records for Yash Raj Films grossing approximately Rs.600 million worldwide on its opening weekend.
"It's after a long time that a good movie has came out of the Yash Raj camp and that too with Aditya Chopra and Shah Rukh coming together after eight years," Joginder Mahajan, a Delhi-based distributor, told IANS.
"Though the collections for the movie have not been cent percent, they have been beyond expectations so far. It is the first big release after 'Dostana' and has no competition till the next two weeks until 'Ghajini' releases Dec 25. So it has full chances of reaping the benefit," he added.
Set in Amritsar, "Rab Ne..." is the story of a mismatched couple played by Shah Rukh and debutante Anushka Sharma and how the pair explores love in the backdrop of a dance competition.
According to a statement released by Yash Raj Films Monday, the light-hearted romantic comedy has crossed boundaries and even set records in the Middle East.
The film has also received a grand opening across all overseas markets, including Britain, the US, Australia, Europe, Africa, and other territories in Asia.
GAJINI
Talking to reporters Khan said that it's a marketing device and he is happy to see the excitement of the theatre staff.
"This is the part of a promotion plan which the marketing team had come up long back. I think that it's great to their enthusiasm that all the personnel in theatres are showing towards the film, shows the excitement towards the film that is coming. I can see that they feel it's an event. I am glad they are looking upon it as that," he added.
Khan will be flaunting his eight-pack abs and trendy hairdo in Ghajini. He looks very brawny in his eagerly awaited film Ghajini.
The film was scheduled for release on Diwali but was postponed to December 25.
